About the Role
As a Travel Respiratory Therapist (CRT), you will join a dedicated clinical team to make a positive impact on the lives of patients in Charleston, West Virginia. This 13-week assignment offers the freedom to control your career while melding your professional skills with personal life experiences. You will have the opportunity to explore new cities, take adventures, meet new people, and create memories that last a lifetime.
In this role, you will deliver respiratory interventions and support for patients with acute respiratory problems, as well as routine care for chronic respiratory disorders. You will assist in the treatment and management of patients with common pulmonary conditions, such as asthma, COPD, and pneumonia. Your work will involve administering respiratory treatments, monitoring equipment, and educating patients and families on the proper usage of respiratory therapies and devices.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleExamine and interview patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders
- check_circlePerform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood samples
- check_circleAdminister respiratory treatments including aerosol medications and oxygen therapy
- check_circleAssist in implementing and adjusting patient treatment plans under physician guidance
- check_circleObserve and record patient status and progress
- check_circleEducate patients and family members on proper medication usage and equipment operation
- check_circleSet up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery rates
Requirements
- verifiedOne year of recent experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- verifiedCertified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential from the NBRC
- verifiedValid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- verifiedCurrent BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Nice to Have
ACLS or PALS certification (AHA/ARC)
