About the Role
As a Respiratory Therapist on our Acute Care team, you will be a vital part of our patient care delivery. This role focuses on assisting respiratory therapists in preparing for and providing comprehensive patient care. You will be responsible for delivering routine therapy, responding to codes and emergent assistance calls, and assessing patient conditions to deliver appropriate treatments.
Your day will involve monitoring and communicating patient status, educating patients and families about illnesses, and connecting them with community support resources. You will also manage respiratory care supplies, maintain equipment storage, and ensure all medical gas cylinders are stocked and distributed. A key part of your responsibilities includes the maintenance of our equipment, including disassembling, cleaning, sterilizing, and performing preventative maintenance and calibration.

Requirements
- verifiedHigh School Diploma/GE or Associate Degree in Science
- verifiedCurrent Respiratory Therapist Licensure in Kentucky
- verifiedThree or more years of previous experience in cardiopulmonary services preferred
- verifiedCurrent American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date
- verifiedCurrent American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date
- verifiedCurrent American Heart Association PALS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire date
- verifiedAble to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
Nice to Have
Three or more years of previous experience in all aspects of cardiopulmonary services.
