Key Responsibilities
- check_circleMeasure lung capacity and analyze blood samples using a blood gas analyzer
- check_circlePerform bedside PFTs, EKGs, and tobacco cessation education as ordered
- check_circleDeliver and evaluate patient response to therapy per plan of care
- check_circleRespond to codes and emergent calls for respiratory assistance
- check_circleEducate patients and families about illness management and community resources
- check_circleEvaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on outcomes and best practices
- check_circleStock and distribute respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders
- check_circleParticipate in performance improvement and continuing education programs
- check_circleClean, sterilize, maintain, and calibrate respiratory equipment
Requirements
- verifiedAssociate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
- verifiedCurrent CRT or RRT license in state of practice
- verifiedBCLS certification
- verifiedACLS certification preferred
- verifiedPALS certification preferred
- verifiedNRP certification preferred
Nice to Have
ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
