About the Role

As a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in our Acute Care unit, you will be a vital partner in the care of patients with breathing-related conditions. Your day will involve examining patients, conducting diagnostic testing, and consulting with physicians to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans. You will deliver physiotherapy and other treatments, teaching patients how to use medications effectively.

In this role, you will measure lung capacity, analyze blood samples, and assess patient responses to therapy. You will be on the front lines during codes and emergent assistance calls, requiring decisive judgment and the ability to work effectively in a stressful environment. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key educational role, informing patients and families about their illnesses and connecting them with community support groups. You will also ensure the safety and readiness of our respiratory care supplies and equipment through rigorous maintenance and sterilization protocols.
