About the Role
As a PRN Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory diseases and illnesses. You will operate various types of equipment to administer respiratory-specific gases and medications, managing therapy modes for compromised patients. Your day-to-day responsibilities include responding to hospital-wide emergencies, advising on arterial blood gas results, and assisting with the transport of mechanically ventilated patients. You will also attend deliveries to initiate neonatal nasal CPAP and mechanical ventilation as needed, while actively participating in departmental education and quality assurance programs.
Application Instructions
To apply, please ensure you meet the licensing requirements for the state of Oklahoma. Candidates must possess an Associated Degree in Respiratory Care and a minimum of one year of experience. While a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) license is required upon hire, a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license is specifically required for the Registered Respiratory Therapist role. Additionally, BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire, ACLS within 30 days, and NRP within 60 days prior to providing direct patient care.
