As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be the frontline provider for patients requiring respiratory therapeutic services. Your day will involve assessing patients to determine the appropriate type and frequency of treatment, then developing and implementing a comprehensive plan of care based on specific diagnoses and physician orders. You will be responsible for administering advanced respiratory care modalities, monitoring patient conditions, and communicating critical updates to the care team.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a vital role in patient education, helping patients and their families understand health conditions and connecting them with community support groups. You will also maintain the integrity of our equipment through proper calibration, cleaning, and sterilization procedures. This role requires a constant state of alertness to respond effectively to medical emergencies and rapid response situations, ensuring patient safety at every moment.
Candidates for this position must hold the required professional licenses and certifications for the specific state of work location (Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin), including Basic Life Support (BLS) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
