Residential Driver

About the Role

The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our customers. In this role, you will be the face of our company, collecting solid waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes while transporting materials to post-collection facilities. Your work ensures our communities remain clean and our operations run smoothly.

You will operate residential, recycling, side-load, and rear-load trucks, managing ancillary equipment and hydraulic systems to handle solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables. Beyond driving, you will be responsible for maintaining route quality standards, managing assigned helpers if applicable, and ensuring the vehicle remains clean and operational. This position requires a professional demeanor at all times, whether interacting with customers, the general public, or your team.

Working Environment

This is an outdoor role performed 100% of the time, often away from the branch location. You will work in a variety of weather conditions, including rain, storms, and extreme heat or cold, while navigating motor vehicle traffic constantly. The environment can be loud and may expose you to humidity, vibration, and airborne particles. The role involves significant physical activity, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects, as well as maneuvering large vehicles in tight spaces and high-traffic areas.
