As a Research Fellow in General Surgery Research, you will contribute to high-impact clinical and translational research under the direct mentorship of a faculty physician and research staff. This full-time position offers exposure to all phases of the research process, designed to develop your skills through observation, instruction, lectures, and independent study.
You will work primarily in the office and outpatient clinics, assisting with protocol development, literature reviews, IRB submissions, and the coordination of faculty-led investigations. Your work will involve collecting, managing, and analyzing data using tools like REDCap, SPSS, or R, contributing directly to high-quality publications. Additionally, you will prepare abstracts, manuscripts, and grant materials, while presenting research findings at conferences and engaging in departmental academic activities.
