The Siegel Family Endowment is a foundation dedicated to understanding and shaping the impact of technology on society. Founded in 2011 by David M. Siegel, Co-Founder and Co-Chairman of Two Sigma, we support organizations that contribute to giving everyone the opportunity to learn and contribute to a rapidly changing world. Our grantmaking focuses on three core interest areas: Learning, Work, and Infrastructure.
Our approach differs from many traditional foundations; we prioritize an inquiry-driven process to understand how we can best work with potential grantees. Currently, we are building a dedicated research team to develop knowledge in our issue areas, actively engage with research communities, and directly support our grantmaking efforts. This team, which includes Resident Research Fellows and grantee partners, operates at the intersection of technology and society, exploring questions around intelligence, information, innovation, development, decisions, and design.
