The Slone Epidemiology Center is a multidisciplinary research organization dedicated to advancing public health. The Black Women's Health Study, now in its 29th year, stands as a cornerstone of our work, providing critical insights into the health of Black women. We are currently launching a new 5-year epidemiologic project focused on identifying factors that influence the risk of Alzheimer's Disease and related dementias within this population.
This Research Assistant position is designed to support the operational and data integrity needs of the new Alzheimer's project. You will serve as a vital link between the research team and study participants, assisting with project start-up, recruitment, and retention. Your day-to-day work will involve conducting cognitive interviews via telephone, processing and quality-controlling the resulting data, and maintaining comprehensive study documentation. As part of the team, you will receive specialized training and complete annual certification to administer the telephone cognitive assessment battery, ensuring the highest standards of data collection.
This role operates within a hybrid work environment. To ensure participant confidentiality and the integrity of the assessments, candidates must have access to a quiet, private area free of disruptions and a reliable high-quality internet connection. Hardware required for interviewing will be provided by the organization. The position requires a flexible schedule, including availability for some evenings and weekends to accommodate participant needs.
