The Research Assistant plays a vital support role in ongoing research studies focused on retinal imaging within animal models of Retinopathy of Prematurity. This position is designed to bridge the gap between data acquisition and scientific discovery, ensuring that high-quality imaging data is accurately captured, analyzed, and managed. You will work collaboratively with faculty investigators, graduate students, and research staff to advance active biomedical research initiatives within the Department of Biomedical Engineering.
Your work will center on the technical and logistical aspects of biomedical research. You will be responsible for acquiring and organizing retinal imaging data, performing quantitative image analysis using established software tools, and maintaining precise research records and databases. Beyond data management, you will assist in interpreting results and preparing figures for presentations and research reports. This role requires a balance of independent focus and team collaboration, ensuring that laboratory operations run smoothly and that all research activities adhere to institutional guidelines and protocols.
