Repair and Tool Technicians are the backbone of our equipment maintenance ecosystem, responsible for the evaluation, repair, and upkeep of small engines, outdoor power equipment, and handheld electrical devices. This role ensures that every unit leaving our care is safe, functional, and ready for the next user.
Technicians operate across two distinct environments: our retail stores with Tool Rental Centers and our dedicated repair centers. In the store setting, the role blends technical expertise with customer service. You will manage the day-to-day operation of the tool rental department, which includes drafting customer contracts and invoices for both rentals and repairs. A key part of your day involves verifying that tools are operating correctly and demonstrating their proper use to customers when needed.
At non-store locations, the focus shifts to deep technical maintenance. You will ensure units are thoroughly repaired, tested for quality assurance, and cleaned before returning them to their originating stores. Throughout all locations, you must maintain a thorough knowledge of our tool inventory and effectively manage it by performing necessary repairs and upkeep to keep our fleet running smoothly.
