Rental Sales Representative

About the Role

The Rental Sales Representative serves as the front-line sales agent for Ryder, managing vehicle rentals for current lease and commercial accounts while actively pursuing potential commercial customers. This role is designed to bridge Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Asset Management, requiring a professional who can navigate cross-functional collaboration to drive revenue and customer satisfaction.

In this position, you will act as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders. Your day-to-life involves executing marketing plans, managing inbound and outbound sales processes, and maintaining accurate data within the company's marketing database. You will be responsible for maximizing rate opportunities, coordinating inventory levels to meet demand, and ensuring the profitable operation of the rental location. Success in this role requires balancing the drive for results with the ability to maintain composure in stressful situations, ensuring that customer concerns are resolved effectively to preserve ongoing relationships.

Work Environment & Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position located in Livonia, MI (Schoolcraft Rd). The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role operates in a fast-paced environment where flexibility and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously are essential. As part of the team, you may also be required to perform the role of On-Call Representative on a voluntary or scheduled basis as determined by your supervisor.
