The Rental Management Trainee program is a comprehensive 18-to-24-month development track designed to prepare you for leadership within Ryder's operations. This fast-paced initiative provides broad training in Rental Management alongside specialized instruction in Finance, Operations, Human Resources, and Sales/Marketing. You will be assigned to operational and administrative tasks that support both location and regional management, touching every aspect of the business unit.
In this role, you will handle inbound and outbound sales processes, manage rental asset lifecycles including vehicle maintenance and cleanliness standards, and generate leads for rentals, leases, and used vehicle sales. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate data in the marketing database, executing sales and marketing initiatives to grow market share, and resolving customer concerns to strengthen ongoing relationships. As part of the team, you may also serve as an On-Call Representative based on supervisor scheduling.
Success in this program requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a detail-oriented approach with strong follow-up practices. You must be a high-energy, self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a dynamic environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously. The role demands flexibility to work in a fast-paced setting, the aptitude to learn quickly, and the ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels. Intermediate computer literacy is required, and candidates must be willing to relocate within the region or the US upon completion of the training.
A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. While not mandatory, one year or more of customer service experience with a focus on issue resolution is preferred.
