About the Role
As an Outside Rental Representative for Hills Machinery Company, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling transactions both over the phone and in person. This role is critical to ensuring customer satisfaction while maximizing machine utilization within your designated trade area. You will act as a dependable partner, building strong relationships with clients to foster long-term mutual growth.
In this position, you will recommend equipment that meets specific customer needs, discussing applications to ensure the safest and most suitable machinery is selected. You will also serve as a resource for related equipment and services available in the local market, promoting add-on rentals where appropriate. Your day-to-day involves managing reservations, preparing contracts, computing charges, and resolving any invoicing or delivery issues that arise.
Working Conditions
This role requires you to be physically present on job sites and work primarily in an outdoor sales environment. You will be exposed to varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid climates. The position demands the use of personal protective equipment to prevent exposure to injury or hazardous materials. Daily tasks involve significant physical activity, including standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, and lifting. Additionally, you will utilize computers and other technology to complete job responsibilities while adhering to all government safety requirements and company security protocols.
