onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join our Reliability team. As a Staff Reliability Engineer, you will operate within a highly dynamic environment, partnering with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative products at a high-quality level. Your work will be pivotal in ensuring the robustness of our semiconductor solutions through advanced validation and qualification strategies.
In this position, you will lead the Reliability Hardware Design and manage critical validation activities, including HTOL, THB, and HAST BI Vector Validation. You will serve as the primary lead for external Reliability Lab Qualification execution, bridging the gap between design concepts and market-ready products.
Your day-to-day involves collaborating closely with Design, Technology, Process Integration, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, and Packaging teams to build reliability and quality directly into new product development (NPD) initiatives. You will drive the development, documentation, and execution of comprehensive reliability strategies and qualification plans. This includes participating in Design of Experiments (DOE), material and process characterization, and failure analysis to continuously improve product quality.
When failures occur during qualification stress tests, you will lead the first-level reject disposition, working with Product Engineers to perform failure analysis (FA) and root cause analysis, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively. You will also be responsible for assessing material and test program readiness, writing clear qualification readiness reports, and conducting drift and electrical data analysis to support engineering decisions.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate effective engineering analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong oral and written communication abilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment, contributing to the team's success while supporting both internal and external customers.
