About the Role
As a Bone and Joint Rehabilitation Services (BJRS) Technician, you will be a vital part of a collaborative team working alongside Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and the Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee staff. Your role is designed to assist in providing high-quality healthcare by supporting the day-to-day operations of our rehabilitation services.
In this position, you will help create a positive patient experience by conducting therapeutic modalities, managing equipment, and assisting with patient set-ups and check-ins. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to promote fitness and wellness, ensuring all interventions are performed with a patient-centric mindset and strict adherence to ethical and legal guidelines. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide therapeutic modalities including ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold packs
- check_circleAssist with patient set-up for therapeutic exercises and activities under therapist supervision
- check_circleOrder and stock rehabilitation supplies and maintain hydrocollator and AED logs
- check_circlePerform non-skilled assistance with basic exercises as directed by licensed therapists
- check_circleMaintain confidentiality of all medical, financial, and legal patient information
- check_circleParticipate in orientation and skill development of new team members and therapy students
- check_circleManage linen services, equipment maintenance, and cleaning of rehabilitation areas
- check_circleCommunicate compassionately with patients and families to support rehabilitation goals
- check_circleAssist with patient check-in/out, scheduling, and courier duties
- check_circleManage infection control protocols and ensure work areas remain clean and orderly
Requirements
- verifiedHigh school graduate or equivalent
