The Vascular Access team at UVMMC is a highly skilled group of nursing professionals who provide a key clinical service to patients. We are highly valued by the staff nurses we support and partner with. Our team brings significant depth of experience and a strong commitment to providing quality, family-centered care to all patients and their families.
You will join a specialized unit dedicated to advancing vascular access standards. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to insert peripheral intravenous catheters and PICCs for patients ranging from pediatric to adult, utilizing vascular visualization devices including ultrasound. Beyond direct patient care, you will serve as a consultant to staff regarding vascular access devices and complications, managing clinical interventions such as clearing occluded catheters and handling dressing protocols for skin issues. You will also drive unit-based education and participate in quality and process improvement projects to elevate our standard of care.
