About the Role

The RN 12.5 Specialty Float Tele position within the Telemetry Float Pool at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center offers exceptional exposure to a variety of specialties. This role is designed to build comprehensive clinical knowledge by rotating through Coly Rectal, Medical/Surgical, CTICU Stepdown, Neuro Stepdown, Heart Failure, and Stroke Units.

This position fosters a collaborative team culture within a supportive environment. It serves as a high-speed setting ideal for refining the skills of new graduates, helping them transition smoothly into competent, independent nurses. You will actively participate in discharge planning, ensure patient education regarding disease processes and self-care, and assume charge nurse functions as delegated. The role requires demonstrating proficiency in telemetry care, including electrode placement and arrhythmia interpretation, as well as managing complex patient needs such as mechanical ventilation, chest tubes, and airway management.
