The Greater Manchester Region serves a population of 300,000 people across 19 towns. It includes Manchester Memorial Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital, and Rockville General, a 102-bed campus facility. The region also encompasses a large multispecialty provider group and visiting nurse services, employing approximately 2,500 colleagues.
This position is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care within the peri-anesthesia and critical care settings. You will utilize the nursing process to coordinate care collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, responding quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition. The role requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
In this capacity, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage pain, and develop individualized plans of care. You will assist physicians with procedures such as cardioversion, line insertions, and epidural catheter placement, while demonstrating expertise in airway management and cardio-respiratory assessment. Your work ensures patient safety and positive outcomes through evidence-based practice and effective communication with patients, families, and the care team.
