About the Role
This position is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centered care by utilizing the nursing process. You will coordinate care by working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, communicating the patient's clinical condition, and responding quickly to changes in condition or treatment response. The role requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles to provide age-appropriate care while promoting the nursing profession through collegial support. You will report to the Clinical Nurse Manager and serve as a professional role model and mentor.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform comprehensive patient assessments and re-assessments including psychosocial and cultural aspects
- check_circleDocument the nursing process and patient responses in a timely manner
- check_circleFormulate and implement teaching plans for patients and families based on learning needs
- check_circleAssess cardio-respiratory systems for changes and provide appropriate treatments
- check_circleProvide accurate reports of patient condition for safe transfer of care
- check_circleAssess pain levels and educate patients and families on pain management techniques
- check_circleDevelop and revise individualized plans of care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- check_circleAssist physicians with peri-anesthesia procedures including line insertions and cardio-version
- check_circleAdminister medications safely following the five rights to prevent errors
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- verifiedCurrent Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
- verifiedBasic Cardiac Life Support certification
- verifiedAdvanced Cardiac Life Support certification
