As a Registered Nurse at Avera Pediatric Specialists in Sioux Falls, you will be the backbone of our patient care experience. This role is designed to provide professional nursing care to patients and families, serving as a vital communication bridge between physicians and the healthcare team. Your day will be defined by a blend of clinical expertise and compassionate hospitality.
In this position, you will manage the flow of the clinic, ensuring that patients in emergency situations receive priority while maintaining a timely and efficient schedule. You will greet patients, conduct nursing assessments, obtain health histories, and prepare them for examinations. Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key educational role, guiding patients and families through diagnostic processes, medication management, and wellness maintenance. You will also oversee the preparation of exam rooms, manage medical supplies, and ensure strict adherence to lab protocols for specimen handling.
