We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our high-performing, multidisciplinary team in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab at University Hospital in Madison. As an integral member of this nationally recognized Cardiac Catheterization Lab, you will deliver exceptional care to adult and geriatric patients undergoing complex cardiovascular procedures and diagnostic cardiac catheterizations.
You will practice in a patient- and family-centered environment within a program rated high-performing in cardiology. Your work will involve utilizing advanced technology and minimally invasive techniques to support structural heart interventions, advanced interventional procedures, and heart transplant services. This role offers the opportunity to develop and integrate new skills while incorporating evidence-based nursing practice into the unit culture, working alongside expert physicians, fellows, and researchers.
The position is an 80% FTE role primarily located at University Hospital. Operational hours for the Cath Lab/EP Lab are 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. The schedule includes day and evening shifts, with on-call responsibilities for off-hours, weekends, and holidays requiring a 30-minute response time. Hours may vary depending on department needs, and acuity-based staffing ratios are utilized to ensure optimal safety.
