As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN), you will function as a vital member of the Integrated Health Care Clinical Team in Syracuse. This role exists to assist with a full range of nursing and medical services, bridging the gap between physical health and mental well-being. You will operate within the framework of health education, client counseling, health monitoring, assessment, medication administration, and the provision of supportive mental health care, including crisis intervention.
In this position, you will perform assessments and consultations to determine current health needs and contribute to comprehensive care plans. Your day-to-day involves managing medication reviews, documenting progress in electronic medical records, and providing direction to staff to support client goals. You will also educate clients and staff on preventative care, infection control, and crisis management while coordinating services with other disciplines and agencies to ensure efficient, cost-effective care.
