About the Role
As a Registered Nurse at Avera, you will be the backbone of our clinic's daily operations, delivering high-quality patient care while fostering a supportive environment. Your day will involve a dynamic blend of clinical expertise and patient advocacy. You will administer medications and treatments, assist providers during procedures, and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments, including taking vitals and obtaining health histories.
Beyond clinical duties, you will serve as a vital communication link between patients, families, and physicians. This includes responding to patient inquiries, educating families on diagnostic processes and wellness maintenance, and coordinating appointment schedules to ensure efficient patient flow. You will also maintain the integrity of our exam rooms and ensure all pathology specimens are labeled and processed according to strict lab protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- check_circleAssure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens and maintain lab testing quality control records
- check_circleScreen patients by obtaining health history, taking vitals, and conducting nursing assessments
- check_circleEducate patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, and health maintenance
- check_circleCoordinate patient care activities and manage appointment scheduling for the clinic
- check_circleMaintain exam room cleanliness and manage necessary medical supplies and materials
- check_circlePrepare equipment and assist providers during procedures, treatments, and examinations
- check_circleObserve, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to drugs to the provider
Requirements
