About the Role

This Registered Nurse position is located at our Plaza 1-Sioux Falls clinic. You will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and families, serving as a vital link between physicians and the healthcare team. Your day will involve performing general nursing care, administering prescribed medications and treatments, and coordinating patient care activities within the clinic.

You will greet patients, prepare them for physical examinations, and conduct nursing assessments by obtaining health histories and taking vitals. A significant part of your role involves observing, recording, and reporting patient conditions and reactions to providers. You will also assist providers during procedures, treatments, and testing, while ensuring exam rooms are stocked, clean, and ready for use.

Beyond clinical duties, you will educate patients and families on diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness maintenance. You will manage appointment scheduling to ensure efficient patient flow, prioritizing emergency situations, and respond to patient inquiries with appropriate physician input. Additionally, you will ensure the accurate labeling of pathology specimens and maintain quality control records for all lab testing.
