Saint Luke's is the Kansas City region's premiere provider of health services and the only faith-based, nonprofit, locally owned health system in the area. With 12,000 employees, we strive daily toward our vision: "The best place to get care. The best place to give care." We are a highly diverse and inclusive workspace where all voices matter, and we invite you to join a team of exceptional professionals dedicated to excellence in patient care.
We are seeking nursing students who graduated in December 2025 or will graduate in May 2026 to join our MedSurg staff in all areas, with a focus on specialized intermediate units. This role is designed for career-driven professionals who are eager to learn, excited to start their nursing journey, and committed to empowering positivity and patient-centered care.
As a new graduate RN, you will be accountable for utilizing the nursing process, performing patient care, delegating tasks, and supervising other staff. You will coordinate care plans for assigned patients and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. This position offers the opportunity to transition from an entry-level nurse to a competent professional, developing effective decision-making skills and clinical leadership at the point of care.
All new graduate BSNs and ADNs hired at Saint Luke's participate in our Nurse Residency Program, which is based on the National Council of State Boards of Nursing's Transition to Practice model. This 12-month program is adaptable and continuously optimized to meet the demands of patient care.
You will be paired with experienced nurses and clinical educators who will work closely with you during the orientation period to help you adjust to your unit. Mentors and facilitators will assist in your professional development, helping you become more involved with Saint Luke's and its shared governance. The program provides a supportive community of peers, leadership, and mentors to help you begin your transition to becoming the best nurse you can be. Through this experience, you will develop strategies to incorporate evidence-based practice, formulate an individual career plan, and participate in strength and goal-focused development opportunities.
Please apply to the Nurse Residency Program to be considered. After you complete the application, a Talent Advisor will follow up with you regarding the rest of the recruitment process and timeline.
Note: Internal candidates must apply through Workday.
