As a PACU Registered Nurse at Del Sol Medical Center, you will play a critical role in the immediate post-operative care of surgical patients. This position is designed to empower you with the staffing support, technology, and resources needed to deliver safe, high-quality care, allowing you to focus on what you do best.
You will collaborate closely with the surgical and anesthesia teams to manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond promptly to any complications. Your day will involve providing initial wound care, ensuring patient stability during recovery, and applying critical thinking and scientific judgment to independently deliver safe nursing care. You will also be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, educating patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
We offer a supportive environment with visible leadership that promotes a collaborative, respectful culture. You will have access to robust staffing support from Certified Nurse Assistants, Patient Care Techs, Charge Nurses, and an internal RN float pool. Additionally, you will participate in rounding with unit leaders to ensure your voice is heard regarding patient care suggestions.
