As a Staff Nurse on the Night shift at Butler Hospital, you will provide direct patient care grounded in the ANA Standards of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, Butler Hospital policies, and the RI Nurse Practice Act. This role is critical for coordinating the management of medical and nursing care, participating in treatment planning, and managing discharge strategies for patients.
Your day will involve acting as an active team member, assisting colleagues, and accepting additional assignments to ensure essential patient care and unit responsibilities are met. You will be responsible for administering medications with a deep understanding of their actions, modes of administration, side effects, and contraindications. Additionally, you will assume the role of Charge Nurse for your shift, coordinating psychiatric and/or medical emergencies to ensure the safety of individuals in crisis and all other patients on the unit.
This position is a Part Time Night shift role (20/40 hours), scheduled for every other weekend. We are offering a competitive sign-on bonus of $10,000 for new hires, with the first half paid at six months and the second half at one year of employment. The role also includes a $3.00/hr. Charge Pay, various shift differentials, and a $2,000/yr. RN Loan Repayment program.
