The Pediatric Emergency Department at Monroe Carell Junior Children's Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center is a dynamic, specialized unit dedicated to providing the highest level of emergency care to children. This 8-bed department is staffed by a team of highly trained pediatric emergency nurses, physicians, and support staff.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate and specialized care to children facing acute illnesses or injuries. You will quickly assess patient conditions, prioritize care based on severity, and implement life-saving interventions. Your work involves providing family-centered care, explaining treatment plans to patients and families while offering emotional support, and collaborating closely with board-certified pediatric emergency physicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists. You will also coordinate the transition of care for admitted patients alongside the pediatric acute care team.
