The Patient Placement Leader is a unique opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to expand their impact beyond the bedside. In this role, you will apply your clinical expertise to coordinate admissions, transfers, and patient flow across the North Region. You will serve as the central point of contact for providers, managing incoming calls and aligning admission activity to support safe and efficient operations.
Your day will involve monitoring real-time and projected bed capacity, evaluating patient status to determine appropriate placement, and utilizing proactive demand capacity planning to anticipate staffing needs. You will make efficient clinical decisions to facilitate continuous throughput, minimize delays in bed turnaround times, and address throughput barriers. This position requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and the skill to manage conflict and stress in a fast-paced environment.
This role is ideal for an RN with three or more years of inpatient experience who enjoys problem-solving and wants to make meaningful decisions that impact patients at a broader level. You will gain a wider perspective on facility operations while mentoring nursing staff to maximize proficiency in admission, transfer, and discharge processes.
