This position is located at UCHealth Memorial Hospital North in Colorado Springs, within the Medical Surgical North department. You will provide direct patient care at a proficient level in a 24/7 acute care environment, utilizing the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
You will plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on assessments to optimize outcomes and maximize resources. A key part of your day involves monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions to a multidisciplinary care team, collaborating across disciplines to coordinate care, transfers, and discharges. You will also evaluate learning needs to provide appropriate patient and family education, and may precept student nurses and new hires.
This is a full-time, onsite role working the Night shift, covering 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks). There is no hybrid or remote option available for this position.
