About the Role

Join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown in Nashville, TN, within the PACU department. This is a PRN Days position designed for a Registered Nurse ready to deliver acute care management and clinical excellence. In this role, you will maintain rigorous aseptic sterile techniques in strict alignment with AORN and ASPAN standards to ensure optimal surgical outcomes. You will expertly assess physical and psychological patient status, delivering targeted interventions and pain management strategies that improve recovery timelines.

Your day will involve anticipating complex case-specific needs by synthesizing deep knowledge of pathophysiology and surgical procedures to streamline OR/PACU workflow. You will also spearhead multidisciplinary discharge planning, coordinating with families and healthcare teams to ensure seamless transitions of care.
