About the Role

Join our team at Ascension Seton Hays in Kyle, TX, as a Registered Nurse within the Operating Room department. This is a part-time weekend position (24 hours, Saturday/Sunday, 6:30 am – 7:00 pm) designed for professionals seeking to make a direct impact on patient outcomes in a dynamic surgical environment.

In this role, you will be an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, performing scrub and circulating responsibilities to support surgeons during invasive procedures. Your day will involve selecting instruments, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with hemostasis, suturing, and wound exposure. You will coordinate care to optimize patient safety and positioning while ensuring accurate clinical documentation in EHR systems. Additionally, you will prepare operating rooms and equipment, implementing infection control and quality improvement standards to ensure readiness and compliance with perioperative safety protocols.
