This Registered Nurse position is part of a team dedicated to coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which holds you accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. Your practice will be guided by the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice.
In this role, you will provide leadership through activities such as serving as a preceptor, taking on informal and formal leadership roles, and engaging in quality improvement efforts. You will delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. Success in this position requires excellent communication skills, a skillful approach to mentoring and teaching, and the ability to adapt to unpredictable situations within the work setting. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their responsibilities.
