This Registered Nurse (RN) position is part of our dynamic team dedicated to coordinating nursing care, including direct patient care, patient and family education, and transitions of care. You will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which holds you accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients. This role supports professional nursing practice across the continuum of care to meet the unique needs of our patients and families.
In this position, you will provide leadership through activities such as preceptorship, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts. You will delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability. The role requires excellent communication skills, a skillful approach to mentoring and teaching, and the potential to participate on committees or projects. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of their responsibilities.
This is a seasonal position running from October to March (6 months). The schedule consists of 12-hour day shifts, with a minimum of two shifts per week. While weekend and holiday availability is not required, the role may involve flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, and on-call duties depending on the work area. This role is eligible for TN sponsorship.
