Registered Nurse Float II - Nursing Float Pool - PRN

About the Role

We are seeking a competent Nurse to practice independently within our Medsurg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care clinical settings. This role is designed for a professional who demonstrates a keen awareness of all relevant aspects of a patient's situation, providing both routine and complex care in strict accordance with treatment plans. As a key member of the team, you will continue to develop the ability to manage clinical contingencies, make appropriate assignments, and delegate effectively to other care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

In this position, you will address the increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. Your day-to-day responsibilities include administering medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness, and documenting patient history and care. You will also play a vital role in education, assessing learning needs and providing guidance to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Application Instructions

This is a PRN (as needed) position with a work schedule of 7 AM to 7 PM. Candidates must possess a valid RN License in the state of employment or a compact license, along with BLS and ACLS certifications. PALS certification is required specifically for CHRISTUS Children's Hospital. While a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred, we welcome applications from qualified professionals with a minimum of 2 years of combined experience in Medsurg, Telemetry, and Intermediate Care.
