About the Role

This position serves as a senior expert within the clinical team, dedicated to elevating patient care standards through advanced expertise in a specific area of focus. The role is designed to bridge the gap between clinical practice and research, ensuring that the best evidence-based practices are delivered to patient populations while maintaining necessary cost controls.

You will operate at the intersection of data, research, and direct consultation. Your work involves developing new test methodologies and analyzing current practices to optimize outcomes. The role is defined by four core pillars: interpreting hospital clinical data, designing and analyzing research studies, acting as a specialized consultant for Intermountain physicians and the Utah Department of Health, and initiating independent research projects.

As a Registered Nurse at St. James ED, you will navigate a dynamic environment where every day presents unique challenges. Success in this role requires the ability to assess and address patients' psychological and physical needs with compassion, foster a culture of quality care, and assist in developing individualized treatment plans. You will also oversee care delivered by LPNs and CNAs, participate in clinical team conferences, and ensure strict compliance with hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines.

Location & Schedule

This full-time position is based at St. James Hospital in Butte, Montana. The role operates on a rotating shift schedule, alternating between mid-shift (1:00 PM – 1:00 AM) and night shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM), with a budgeted 36 hours per week.
