About the Role
Allied Digestive Health seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate, GI-focused care within our physician-led, patient-centered practice. This role is designed to support the continuum of care for GI and hepatology patients, ensuring high-quality outcomes across diverse communities in New Jersey and New York.
Working in a collaborative, team-based environment, the RN partners closely with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and staff to coordinate care. Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDeliver patient-centered nursing care to GI and hepatology patients across the continuum of care
- check_circlePerform assessments, obtain histories, and monitor vital signs before, during, and after procedures
- check_circleAssist physicians with endoscopic and diagnostic procedures ensuring safety and infection control
- check_circleEducate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, procedures, and follow-up care plans
- check_circleDocument all care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EMR
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize outcomes
- check_circleSupport quality improvement, safety initiatives, and adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory standards
- check_circleParticipate in ongoing education, skills development, and GI-specific training offered by the practice
- check_circleAdminister medications and IV therapies while monitoring patients under moderate sedation
Requirements
- verifiedActive RN license in practicing state
- verifiedBLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- verifiedACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred
- verifiedGI/endoscopy nursing experience or certification (CGRN) preferred
