In this position, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care by collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, education, and positive outcomes. You will serve as a vital advocate for patients' needs and preferences, ensuring culturally sensitive and respectful care for diverse populations. The role involves coordinating comprehensive treatment plans, from triage and prioritization of urgent needs to transitions of care between units or facilities.
Your day will be defined by building trust through clear communication and education regarding diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions. You will work alongside physicians, advanced practice providers, and therapists to monitor patient conditions, administer therapies safely, and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment. As part of Mercy's commitment to continuous learning, you will also have the opportunity to engage in quality improvement initiatives and mentor new nurses or nursing students.
