About the Role
In this position, you will be the cornerstone of patient care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and case managers. Your day will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized nursing care plans while maintaining accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). You will provide essential bedside care, including IV therapy, wound care, and telemetry monitoring, while educating patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and self-care strategies. This role demands flexibility, as you may float between units or adapt to varying facility procedures and patient populations, always prioritizing patient safety and seamless care transitions.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circlePerform comprehensive and ongoing patient assessments and document findings accurately in the EMR
- check_circleDevelop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- check_circleAdminister medications, treatments, and therapies safely and in accordance with provider orders and facility protocols
- check_circleMonitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate interventions or escalate care as needed
- check_circleProvide bedside nursing care including IV therapy, catheter care, wound care, and basic procedures
- check_circleEducate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, procedures, discharge instructions, and self-care strategies
- check_circleCollaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and case managers to coordinate patient care
- check_circleAdhere to infection control standards, patient safety guidelines, and all regulatory and facility-specific policies
- check_circleMaintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the Electronic Medical Record system
- check_circleParticipate in handoffs, huddles, and interdisciplinary rounds to share patient updates and support care transitions

Requirements
- verifiedActive, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s) or compact state license
- verifiedBLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- verifiedACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred; required for some specialties
- verifiedMinimum of 1 year of recent acute care or relevant clinical experience
- verifiedAbility to obtain additional state licenses as needed for travel assignments
- verifiedUp-to-date immunizations and health screenings per facility requirements
- verifiedStrong clinical references from recent supervisors or charge nurses
