Staffed by leading professionals, we care for patients from birth through the end of life across the region.

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within the Family Birth Place. The NICU is staffed by a multidisciplinary care team, including board-certified neonatologists, certified pediatric physician assistants, and neonatal nurses. In this role, you will practice at the top of your license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices.

Under the direction of Nursing Leadership and in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, you will develop care plans for a complex, multi-varianced population of patients. Your focus will be on meeting the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of both patients and their families. We support our Registered Nurses in expanding their scope of responsibilities, with opportunities to act as a preceptor and charge nurse as needed.

For Graduate Registered Nurses with less than one year of experience, we offer automatic enrollment in the Nurse Residency Program, providing clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities to support your transition into professional practice.

Why Join Us

At Hartford Healthcare, we take great care of our patients and our nurses. Our benefit options are designed so you can care for yourself and your family just as you care for others. We offer automatic enrollment in the Nurse Residency Program, tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 after six months, and up to 40% tuition discounts for colleagues and dependents. Additional support includes loan forgiveness for qualifying student loans, employee assistance and wellness programs with a strong focus on mental health, paid time off, health insurance packages, and free on-site parking. We also provide discounts on services, products, and optional coverages ranging from movie tickets to pet insurance and travel.

Hiring Process

To apply, please submit your application through the Hartford Healthcare careers portal. Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview process to discuss your experience and fit within our team.

Equal Opportunity

Hartford Healthcare is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, religion, gender, or other protected characteristics.
