Our unified culture enhances access, affordability, equity, and excellence, serving over 23,000 lives every day across 185 towns.

About the Role

The Hospital of Central Connecticut is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services in general medicine, surgery, and a wide variety of specialties. Staffed by a talented team of leading professionals, we care for patients from birth through the end of life.

As a Registered Nurse here, you will practice at the top of your license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. This role offers the opportunity to grow your scope of responsibility, act as a preceptor or charge nurse as needed, and foster a healthy work environment through strong communication and cultural sensitivity.

Why Join Our Team

We take great care of our patients, and we take great care of our Registered Nurses too. Our benefit options are designed so you can care for yourself and your family just as you care for others. We support our colleagues with:

  • Professional Growth: Automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for all graduate RNs with less than one year of experience, including clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities.
  • Financial Support: Tuition reimbursement up to $5,250 after six months of employment, plus up to 40% tuition discounts for colleagues and dependents, and loan forgiveness for qualifying student loans.
  • Wellness: Employee assistance and wellness programs with a strong focus on promoting mental health, along with paid time off and health insurance packages.
  • Perks: Free on-site parking and discounts on services, products, and optional coverages including movie tickets, pet insurance, and travel.

Equal Opportunity
