About the Role
This position serves as a Weekend Nurse Manager, operating within a dedicated health care team philosophy. The role is critical for ensuring continuity of care during the weekend shift, specifically covering Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As a Weekend Nurse Manager, you will coordinate and deliver comprehensive patient care, acting as the central link between the nursing team, ancillary departments, and the broader hospital administration.
The position focuses on fostering a culture of safety and excellence. You will be responsible for patient teaching, discharge planning, and maintaining the highest standards of departmental and hospital operations. This role requires a leader who can effectively manage nursing functions, assign tasks based on staff skill levels, and guide personnel in solving clinical problems. The environment is fast-paced and may involve irregular hours or extended shifts due to emergency circumstances, requiring a calm and resourceful approach to patient care and staff management.
Hiring Process
Candidates must possess a current Mississippi State license as an RN and have at least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse. The role requires a willingness to rotate shifts, work weekends, and occasionally work overtime.
