The Community Training Center operates within the Hospital and departmental framework to support operational components across a diverse patient population, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The team is dedicated to fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and evidence-based practice. As a Registered Nurse within this department, you will serve as a vital link between clinical care and professional development, ensuring that educational initiatives align with the organization's strategic goals and quality standards.
This position is designed to assess, plan, develop, implement, and evaluate both clinical and non-clinical educational programs. You will act as a change agent and consultant, identifying practice gaps and translating research findings into actionable learning strategies. The role requires a proactive approach to patient safety, encouraging staff to question current processes and actively participate in their own care. You will collaborate with stakeholders to design curricula that utilize adult learning principles, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment. Beyond instruction, you will be responsible for evaluating program outcomes, maintaining regulatory records, and promoting a healthy work environment through leadership and ethical practice.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related discipline. Essential qualifications include three years of directly related experience and current RN licensure in New Mexico (or eligibility via reciprocal agreement). Additional credentials required include BLS certification and age-appropriate instructor certification for CPR, ALS, or ILS. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo is considered a valuable asset.
