For the 2026-2027 school year, we are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our Special Programs team. This paraprofessional role is dedicated to the direct implementation of behavior analytic services for children with Autism, Social-Emotional Disabilities, and related developmental disabilities within the school setting.
Working under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or BCaBA, the RBT serves as a vital link in delivering social skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The role focuses on executing prescribed behavioral skill acquisition and reduction plans rather than designing them. RBTs are expected to model behavioral supports and interventions for school staff, assist in behavioral assessments, and maintain a clean, safe, and organized learning environment for all students.
Your day will involve providing direct behavioral intervention in both one-on-one and group settings, utilizing a mix of intensive teaching and natural environment training. You will be responsible for collecting, recording, and summarizing data on observable student behaviors to track progress against training protocols. Collaboration is key; you will communicate regularly with the school team, including parents, caregivers, Behavior Specialists, and School Psychologists, to ensure alignment on student goals. Additionally, you will assist in staff training regarding individualized Behavior Intervention Plans and support the team during student crises, always adhering to safe handling procedures and maintaining strict student confidentiality.
