About the Role
This position serves as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), providing critical medical-forensic services to patients of all ages presenting to the facility with reports of sexual assault or violence. The role is designed to operate with independence for adolescent and adult patients, while offering specialized support for pediatric cases depending on specific training completion. In the telehealth capacity, the SANE RN also acts as a mentor to end-site clinicians, providing guidance and direction in patient care and support.
You will be part of a rotating schedule covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. This specific role requires a commitment to responding to victims and suspects of sexual assault, ensuring all activities adhere to established SANE guidelines, and maintaining close collaboration with SANE coordinators and other disciplines.
