Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc. has evolved its customer engagement approach to better deliver on the needs of patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers (HCPs) in an increasingly complex healthcare environment. Our model is built around where patients receive care—locally—with the intent to serve these stakeholders more effectively and deliver a higher quality experience focused on improving patient care.
This local "ecosystem approach" creates a unified focus among account management, medical, patient access, and market access teams. By engaging local healthcare systems together, we identify opportunities to improve the patient experience. Through this matrix model, customers experience more coordinated and seamless care, supported by digital-enabled solutions designed to bridge care gaps.
As an integral part of the regional leadership team, the Regional Medical Lead (Director) contributes to the development of the region's strategic business plan and identifies key stakeholder and C-suite relationships vital to the region's success. You will serve as the primary medical point of contact for top regional decision-makers and influencers, fostering a collaborative and patient-centric culture.
In this role, you will develop and maintain a deep understanding of the regional ecosystem, including health systems, centers of excellence, key influencers, decision-makers, and payers. Your mission is to ensure alignment with Otsuka's patient-centric strategy, identifying educational needs from a customer perspective and ensuring resources are deployed to meet them. You will partner with field leadership to identify evidence and knowledge gaps, as well as gaps in care continuity and coordination, ensuring regional insights are captured and shared across the organization.
You will be responsible for coaching and providing feedback to Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), ensuring they focus on key institutions and influencers aligned with business priorities. By tracking customer experience and utilizing analytics, you will adapt medical plans to advance shared goals between Otsuka and our customers, ultimately driving improved patient outcomes.
This position will be posted for a minimum of 5 business days. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply directly through the official Otsuka Career website.
