About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Refuse Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a heavy garbage truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Your work ensures the efficient and safe collection of waste, maintaining the cleanliness and order of our community.
Day in the Life
Your day involves a routine of safety and diligence. You will begin by inspecting the truck before and after each trip to ensure it is in optimal working condition. Once on the route, you will pick up trash containers, load the truck, and transport the waste to the dump. Throughout the shift, you will properly track and document your activity log and promptly report any issues or incidents to dispatch. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to handle a physically demanding workload.
