About the Role

Refrigeration Start-up Technicians are the subject matter experts responsible for the start-up of supermarket refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment. This role ensures customer needs are met efficiently, accurately, and on time while assisting with Energy Optimization (EO) projects. You will function as a Journeyman-level expert, bringing construction experience in the installation of refrigeration systems, including electrical, plumbing, and fixtures.

In this position, you will perform full start-ups of new parallel refrigeration systems, handle EMS wiring and programming for various manufacturers, and lead small projects such as single case and condenser changeouts. You will also assist with retro-commissioning, utility programs, and gas conversion projects. The role requires working across various industries and systems to keep learning and growing, often collaborating with local branch Service and Construction Managers to troubleshoot problematic stores and train junior technicians.
